Competition on the operating system drive Mozilla develops new mobile operating system called Firefox OS. With the support of several large telecommunications companies, Firefox OS will challenge existing mobile OS currently like Android, Bada, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and iPhone iOS.
Mozilla claims operator Deutsche Telekom, Sprint, Smart, Telecom Italy, Telenor and Etisalat stated support Firefox OS. ZTE phone vendors and TCL plan would releasing Firefox OS with Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor in early 2013.
Support from operators and handset vendors are rated important for new smartphone OS in order to be admitted to the market. So, they are going against the dominance of Android and iOS are currently widely used.
