5 Google products are discontinued
Google as king of the internet does not guarantee the success of its products in the market, not least Google shut down some products. Here are 5 products that stop continuation by Google.
"Technology creates amazing opportunities to improve people's lives. But to make this, we should focus, if we do not have to end up doing too much and do not have a effect of which we stand for," Google said on his blog.
The products that are discontinued by Google:
1. iGoogle
iGoogle is the home page for the web that can be customized. Released in 2005, the product is a combination of RSS reader and widget platform,
With the presence of modern applications that run on platforms like Chrome and Android, the presence of iGoogle is no longer needed. Users are given the deadline of 16 months to set and export the data.
2. Google Video
Google video has stopped the service which began in May 2009. Product users were given the opportunity to migrate, delete or download content onto YouTube until August 20.
As for the remaining video, Google will move the content to the YouTube site as a private videos.
3. Google Talk Chatback
This product allows the website to install the Google Talk widget. Google has now shut down Chatback and suggest that the use Meebo bar for the same function.
4. Symbian Search App
Another product which Google stopped in the summer of this year is a Symbian Search App. "We recommend you to go to the site www.google.com and make as home page," Google's said.
5. Google Mini
Google Mini is actually an essential part in offering Enterprise Search since introduced in 2005. But by the end of this July, Google decided to end the product is said to function less well as compared to what is provided by other products such as Google Search Appliance and Google Site Search
